Galaxie Granite
Long Ago in a Galaxie Far, Far Away….
It wasn’t far, far away… just four hours north in East Texas, is where Eric began his granite fabrication career.
Eric spent two years working with a granite fabrication company out of Tyler. This is where he learned all the ins and outs of everything to do with natural and engineered stone. In 2005, Eric moved from Tyler to Georgetown where he became the granite superintendent for a local company. After about five years, Eric decided to branch out on his own.
In 2010, with help from a close friend and his daughter, Nikki, Galaxie Granite was born. When Galaxie first opened its doors, the office was nothing more than a repurposed walk-in cooler, and Eric and Nikki shared a desk. Slowly, the business grew, and in 2015 Galaxie upgraded buildings. Now with not just separate desks, but two offices and a showroom, Galaxie was really coming together.
In May of 2021, Eric decided it was time to step down as owner of Galaxie Granite and Nikki took over. Eric refers to himself as semi-retired as he is still around to assist customers when needed. Galaxie Granite, now going on 14 years family-owned and operated, is a thriving female-owned small business with many hopes and dreams of expansion.
