Product estimate

Estimate

So, you have decided to replace your countertops but are not sure where to start. Well, you’re in the right place. Give us a call, and we will schedule someone to come out and take measurements of your current countertops. You can also send us a simple drawing of your countertops with cabinet lengths, and we can begin your estimate process.

Stone selection

Stone Selection

To get you an accurate estimate, we need your cabinet measurements and your natural or engineered stone selection. Once we have your drawing, it’s time to start selecting material. If you are interested in quartz, we suggest you start at our showroom. Galaxie Granite has 13 different quartz suppliers that we showcase at our facility. You are more than welcome to take some samples home to see how they look in your home with your lighting.

If you are interested in natural stone, we partner with 8 different local slab yards where you can go and view full slabs. Once you have made some selections, they will send us the slab information for us to price out for you. If you are looking to have a small area done, we also have tons of remnants to choose from. They are perfect for vanities and tabletops. Once you have decided on the material you want and your estimate is finalized, we do require a 50% deposit.

Fabrication process

Fabrication

Now that you have made your countertops selection and your deposit has been paid, we now get you in line for fabrication. Some jobs require a template to be made. This will be done before fabrication starts. Also, if you would like a layout of how your countertops will look, just let us know. We can do this digitally or in person once your slabs have arrived at our facility.

Once your job is up for fabrication, the job itself takes a couple of days to complete, depending on the size. We will keep you up to date on the process as and when it is completed.

Kitchen countertop installation

Installation

Finally, the good part! It’s installation day! We set up a date with you approximately a week to two weeks prior. The installation process usually only takes one day. We do ask if you have everything from the counters down cleaned out.

Please note that if God decides it’s going to rain the day we install, we will have to move your installation to the next day. Our crew is quick and professional. They are in and out and get the job done. They will clean everything up when they are finished, and if you have chosen natural stone, they will apply sealer before they leave.
